This weekend I decided to host a Naked Lady Party. This is when you invite your friends over, tell them to bring all the clothes they don’t want anymore, and have at it. They can try on each other’s clothes and take what they want. It’s the one man’s trash concept of a free shopping party. At the end of the night, the unwanted items are left with the host to donate. This is an amazing way to get rid of clothes you don’t want, find a few new items that you do, and save money in the process.
Since I will not be shopping for six months, I wanted to ease the pain of the transition with a Naked Lady Party to see if I could score a few new items to liven up my minimal wardrobe. I brought out some hangers, attempted to construct make-shift clothing racks using random items in my house (a pull up bar, my cat tower, etc.) to display everything. Everyone left with something, and left far more behind in the process. And I would call that a success.
As you can see from the photos, my cats were overwhelmed with the amount of new items to sit on. But they were pretty successful, too.
